Pastor Blanks
Elder Donald R.
Blanks, Sr. was born in Thomasville, AL, September 10, 1967
to Johnny and Ealma Blanks. He is the seventh child of
twelve children. He received his High School Diploma from
Sweetwater High School in Sweetwater AL.
Elder Blanks is
married to Tracey L. Blanks and has four
children, Chandra, Donald Jr., Jeriah and Jeramey Blanks.
Elder Blanks was
called by God to go out and preach the Gospel in July of
1999. He graduated the New Life Ministry Institute and
became a licensed Minister in September 2001 under the
Church of God in Christ (COGIC)
As a member of
New Life in Christ Ministries, Elder Blanks served as
District Adjutant, Sunday School Teacher, and Finance
Chairman.
Bishop C. E.
Anderson of the North Carolina
Second
Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction ordained Minister Blanks as
Elder in May, 2002.
In May 2002 the
military sent the Blanks Family to Germany. While in
Germany, under the Germany Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction,
Elder Blanks served in the capacity of 1st
Administrative Assistant to the Pastor at Frankfurt COGIC,
Church Sunday School Superintendent, Singles Ministry
President, and Evangelistic Department President. From
February to May 2003 Elder Blanks served as Interim Pastor
of Frankfurt COGIC. He also served as District 1 Finance
Chairman from March 2003 to March 2004.
In May 2003 Elder
Blanks was elevated to Pastor of Refreshing Fountain COGIC,
District 4 Assistant Superintendent, and he also became the
Jurisdictional Sunday School Superintendent under the
leadership of Bishop Carl L. Moody.
The Lord
returned Elder Blanks and Family to Maryland in May 2005
where they became active members of Deliverance Tabernacle
COGIC. In March 2006, God called Elder Blanks to start
Restoration COGIC out of his home. Pastor Blanks was later
led to become an active church of the Washington DC
Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop
Neavelle Coles. Shortly after being faithful to the call,
God blessed Elder Blanks with the current location of the
church today.
